A well-established concrete and formwork contractor specializing in structural concrete, complex formwork systems, and large-scale commercial and civil projects is seeking an experienced Formwork Superintendent to lead field operations. The company is known for delivering technically demanding concrete structures and maintaining a strong safety and quality culture.
ResponsibilitiesOversee all formwork and concrete operations on site, from layout through pours and stripping
Plan and sequence formwork activities to meet schedule and production targets
Supervise foremen, carpenters, labourers, and subcontractors
Coordinate with project management, engineers, inspectors, and other trades
Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and engineered formwork designs
Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity
Lead daily planning meetings, toolbox talks, and site coordination
Track progress, manpower, and equipment utilization
Proactively identify and resolve constructability and site challenges
7+ years of experience in concrete and formwork construction
Previous experience as a superintendent or senior foreman on structural concrete projects
Strong knowledge of formwork systems (gang forms, fly forms, jump systems, shoring, falsework, etc.)
Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and formwork shop drawings
Proven leadership and crew management skills
Strong understanding of concrete placement, sequencing, and quality control
Commitment to safety and site organization
Valid driver’s license
Safety certifications (First Aid, CSTS, CSO) considered an asset
