Pearson Student Ambassador (PSA) Program - Job Description Key Responsibilities
- Promote Pearson’s Digital Solutions – Lead engaging demos and presentations for students and faculty to showcase how to use Pearson’s technology products (e.g., MyLab, Mastering, eBook).
- Organize Campus Events – Host on campus or virtual events (workshops, info sessions, study nights, etc.) that help students best utilize Pearson’s digital learning solutions.
- Student Support and Onboarding – Serve as a friendly resource for students by assisting with product registration, setup, and troubleshooting. You’ll help your peers get signed up and started with Pearson products, ensuring a smooth experience from day one.
- Collect and Share Feedback – Gather feedback from students about Pearson products through surveys, focus groups, or one on one conversations to understand what’s working and what could be improved.
- Campus Outreach – Work closely with Pearson’s teams to promote new and existing products and initiatives on your campus. This might include distributing marketing materials, creating social media content, or spreading the word about Pearson’s offerings. You’ll also provide feedback on Pearson’s marketing campaigns and product ideas from a student perspective.
- Training and Meetings – Participate in regular conference calls, trainings, and team meetings with Pearson staff and fellow PSAs.
- Collaborate with Pearson Regional Leads – Work closely with regional PSA leads to ensure program success, sharing insights and best practices.
- Current Full-Time Student – Enrolled full time in an undergraduate program, ideally as a freshman, sophomore, or junior (at least one academic year remaining before graduation).
- Time Commitment – Ability to commit 5–10 hours per week to the ambassador role for one academic year (two semesters). Preference is given to students who can continue until graduation.
- Academic Standing – Good academic record, demonstrating solid academic performance.
- Strong Communicator – Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – you’re comfortable speaking to small and large groups and can engage peers and faculty with confidence.
- Self-Motivated and Independent – Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently without daily supervision. You can manage your own projects and time effectively while balancing school responsibilities.
- Passionate about Education and Technology – Genuine enthusiasm for helping others learn. Familiarity with Pearson’s products (such as MyLab, Mastering, Revel, or eTextbooks) is a plus – you should be eager to learn and advocate for these digital learning tools. Extracurricular activities are advantageous because they indicate strong student engagement and connections with student clubs.
