Become a Mandarin Language Educator at KPU for MAND 1110, starting September 1, 2026. Deliver impactful education on traditional Chinese medicine through innovative teaching techniques.
The Department of Language and Cultures is looking for non-regular faculty to join the Qualified Faculty List for Mandarin Foundation courses. Applicants should ideally hold a PhD in Chinese Language or related fields and have a solid track record of teaching at the post-secondary level for a minimum of two years. Experience in online instruction and a commitment to cultural diversity are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Instruct MAND 1110 both on-campus and online
• Create engaging lesson plans and student assessments
• Evaluate and guide student performance and development
• Leverage technology to enhance learning experiences
• Engage with departmental and community initiatives
Requirements:
• PhD preferred;
Master's degree considered
• Teaching experience of at least 2 years
• Native or near-native Mandarin fluency
• TCM teaching experience is a plus
• Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion
