Heat and Energy Utility Technician

Step into a rewarding position as a Heat and Energy Utility Technician in Peace Valley. This onsite role is focused on efficient OSB production while assisting in energy system operations and safety protocols.

You will engage in minor maintenance and equipment oversight, while also learning various operations aspects of the Energy, Drying, and WESP systems. Your ability to contribute to safety improvements and maintain equipment logs will be invaluable for the team's success. The role is designed for those eager to progress in the field of operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct strainer/filter changes and equipment maintenance

• Aid in the proper lockout and isolation of machinery

• Keep Energy and Drying system areas organized

• Document and report system data accurately

• Relieve the Energy Operator when necessary

Requirements:

• Two years’ industrial experience is an asset

• Must hold a Grade 12 diploma or equivalent

• 4th class power engineering certification required

• Mechanical skills and problem-solving mindset

• Flexibility to work varying shifts as required
