Join the Township of Langley as a Planning Technician, focusing on development project management and planning analysis.

We are looking for a qualified Planning Technician in the Development Planning Department at the Township of Langley. This full-time position involves technical analysis of development proposals and preparation of reports that guide decision-making. You will work closely with planners, developers, and the public, ensuring all inquiries are addressed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate analysis of residential and commercial proposals
• Draft comprehensive reports and recommend proposals
• Review development applications and gather necessary feedback
• Provide information on zoning and land use to stakeholders
• Conduct research for feasibility studies and reports
Requirements:
• University degree in Planning, Engineering, or related discipline
• Strong grasp of land use planning regulations
• Experience with statistical analysis methods
• Knowledge of GIS software and applications
• Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License
