This critical role involves providing comprehensive geotechnical support for mine development and production. You will conduct inspections, perform stability evaluations, and lead hazard assessments to ensure adherence to safety standards. Collaborating with geotechnical teams, you will also assist in managing ground control strategies and improving operational effectiveness through engineering analysis and monitoring technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide geotechnical support for mining operations
• Conduct geotechnical inspections and stability assessments
• Review and develop ground support design plans
• Manage quality assurance for geotechnical projects
• Analyze and interpret monitoring data for underground stability
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering field
• 4 to 8 years of experience in geotechnical engineering
• Eligibility for Professional Engineer registration
• Experience with geotechnical monitoring systems preferred
• Flexibility for 12-hour shifts in remote settings
