Advance your planning career with the Township of Langley as a full-time Planning Technician. This role focuses on technical planning for development proposals, managing applications, and interaction with various stakeholders.
The Township of Langley seeks a dedicated Planning Technician to join its Community Development Division. In this role, you will conduct technical planning work, prepare reports, and handle minor development applications. You'll also engage with developers and the public to provide essential information on land use and zoning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze development proposals for compliance with community plans
• Prepare draft reports recommending actions on applications
• Conduct reviews of permits, rezonings, and subdivisions
• Respond to public inquiries about zoning and land-use
• Maintain GIS databases and assist in data integration
Requirements:
• Degree in Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field
• Knowledge of zoning regulations and land use policies
• Familiarity with research and statistical methodologies
• Proficiency in Geographic Information Systems software
• BC Class 5 Driver’s License
