Become a Care Companion with Optima Living in Calgary, Alberta, where you will provide vital support to enhance seniors’ daily lives. This role emphasizes compassion and personalized care.
As a Care Companion, you will assist residents in a variety of daily living activities while fostering a caring atmosphere. Reporting directly to nursing leadership, you will participate in care planning and help maintain residents’ dignity throughout their daily routines. This role is crucial in delivering Optima Living’s person-centered care philosophy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support individual care plans and monitor resident well-being
• Engage in companionship activities and social interactions
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry for residents
• Assist with dining and daily hygiene routines
• Report any health or safety concerns immediately
Requirements:
• Minimum one year experience in residential caregiving
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Clearance on Police Information Check required
