About the Role
As an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) at Monarch House, your primary responsibility is implementing interventions for children and youth with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental delays and/or motor delays. Your role involves executing intervention plans developed and supervised by a Registered Occupational Therapist for clients in care of Monarch House. The Assistant works within an interdisciplinary team while providing an engaging and positive client experience in a fast‑paced and frequently changing environment.

Center‑based in Langley - Work schedule:
Monday‑Friday 9 AM‑7 PM, Saturday 9 AM‑4 PM (schedule based on client needs)
- Communicate with family/client and supervisor on session progress
- Implement treatment plans based on best practices
- Prepare teaching materials and organize the teaching environment
- Create a positive and engaging environment for the client
- Maintain the well‑being and safety of the client while under their care
- Track client progress through data collection and graphing while keeping clients engaged
- Post‑secondary coursework in Occupational Therapy
- Minimum 1 year of experience working as an OTA
- Current Standard CPR and First Aid Certificate

Established in 2009 in British Columbia, Monarch House is an interdisciplinary treatment centre for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families. Since then, we have expanded our geographic network and services to include a full range of services for individuals with academic, behavioral, communication, learning, motor, physical, speech, social, and vocational needs across British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario.
