Your role will focus on substance use services and community mental health support while providing comprehensive treatment and advocacy.
This position is essential for individuals with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work or Clinical Counselling and two years of related experience. You will work closely with clients affected by mental illness and substance use disorders, facilitating their access to recovery-oriented services. Your expertise in psycho-education, assessment, and care coordination will play a pivotal role in enhancing community support systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop recovery-oriented treatment plans with clients
• Provide supportive counselling and group therapy sessions
• Manage intake assessments and crisis interventions
• Coordinate community resources and rehabilitation programs
• Advocate for clients throughout the service system
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• 2 years of experience with mental illness and substance use
• Valid Class V BC Driver's License
• Strong client assessment and management skills
• Eligible for professional registration
