The HCA/Caregiver is a member of the home care team who works under the supervision of the Care Coordinator and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the client’s needs. Qualicare Homecare is looking for compassionate, caring, and reliable individuals to join our family as Health Care Aides (HCAs) / Personal Support Workers (PSWs) / Caregivers. Qualicare Homecare BC offers home care services that focus on providing the best quality of life for our clients and peace of mind for their families.

• Provide gentle assistance with personal care, hygiene, and mobility
• Implement redirection, calming techniques, and routine management for clients with dementia
• Meal Preparation and assistance with light housekeeping
• Accompany clients on outings, shopping, and errands
• Medication Assist / Reminders
• Ambulation and transporting of clients
• Provide companionship and cognitive stimulation
• Ability to follow care plans and provide accurate documentation/charting

• Ongoing shifts in order to build close relationships with our clients
• Shifts ranging anywhere from 2 hours up to 12 hours

• Prior experience supporting individuals with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or memory loss preferred
• Must reside in the Langley area (Langley, Aldergrove, Cloverdale) or be fully willing and able to reliably commute to shifts across Langley
• Health Care Aide Certificate or equivalent (foreign-trained nurse, nursing student)
• Current CPR/First Aid training or willingness to obtain
• CRC for Vulnerable Sector (valid for 5 years) or willingness to obtain
• Ability to travel around the local area
• Access to Internet / smartphone with data
