Japanese-Speaking Caregiver

Senior Helpers Surrey East is looking for a
Japanese-speaking Caregiver/Companion to join our team and provide compassionate, reliable support to seniors in their homes and communities.

The ideal candidate is fluent in Japanese and English
, enjoys connecting with older adults, and understands the importance of meaningful conversation, companionship, and culturally appropriate support.

• Provide personal care support (bathing, dressing, toileting)
• Provide companionship and friendly conversation in Japanese and English.
• Engage clients in activities that are meaningful and enjoyable to them.
• Assist with light meal preparation and household tasks as needed.
• Provide reminders and support with daily routines.
• Observe and report changes in a client's physical, cognitive, or emotional well-being.
• Maintain a respectful, professional, and compassionate relationship with clients and their families.
• Support clients in maintaining their independence, dignity, and quality of life.

• Fluent in spoken Japanese and English.
• Previous experience working with seniors is an asset.
• Caregiving, HCA,PSWor similar experience is an asset.
• Patient, compassionate, reliable, and personable.
• Comfortable working independently in a client's home.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid criminal record check and TB test
• First Aide Certification
