About Lifemark 64th Avenue Clinic, located in Langley, British Columbia.Our Lifemark 64th Avenue clinic is a multidisciplinary rehabilitation centre located in Langley, British Columbia. We are a wheelchair‑accessible facility with ample free parking and open spaces, large windows, an athletic‑style gym, and access to outdoor space for working with clients. The clinic is very close to nearby shopping, restaurants, and amenities in a residential neighbourhood with families.
We are seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) who is passionate about assisting our clients with their mental health
and
concussion management recovery process. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive, individualized care that supports recovery and successful return to work and daily function. In addition to working with the mental health and concussion management programs, you will have the opportunity to participate in other work streams such as FCEs, Community OT services and Veterans Rehabilitation services.
Our OTs provide both individual and program-based treatments and assessments for individuals recovering from motor vehicle accidents and workplace injuries. They also play a pivotal role in supporting veterans, Canadian Armed Forces members, first responders, and individuals facing physical, cognitive and mental wellness goals. In this role, you will:
- Provide comprehensive, evidence‑based Occupational Therapy services to clients by focusing on holistic recovery through skill‑building, routine establishment, sensory strategies, and creating safe, trauma‑informed environments to support participation in meaningful work, school, and social roles.
- Apply clinical expertise and professional competence in the assessment, intervention, consultation, case management, discharge planning, education, and follow‑up of clients
- Perform the assessment and treatment of vestibular disorders, concussion management and return to function planning
- Teach techniques like mindfulness, relaxation, and sleep hygiene to manage pain, fatigue, and emotional distress.
- Consult with local vendors regarding equipment trials and complete applications/funding letters to the Ministry of Health, insurance agencies and other funding parties
- Provide education to the client and employer about the recovery process, the benefits of staying connected to work, and their roles in the plan.
- Provide ongoing evaluation of restraint use, wound prevention, falls, and injury prevention.
- Record assessment and treatment interventions in the client's chart
- Excel in a collaborative, interdisciplinary team environment
- Exhibit sound professional judgment
As one of the largest networks of OTs in the nation, you will work within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment, delivering high-quality, client‑centred care across multiple clinics or specific clinic and community settings. Key skills and qualifications include:
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia.
- Experienced as an Occupational Therapist with Mental Health and Concussion management training is an asset.
- Knowledge of current Occupational Therapy standards, modalities and scope of practice; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
