Job description:
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Systems Administrator to manage, maintain, and support our organization's IT infrastructure. This role is essential for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the information systems that support core organizational functions. You will be responsible for installing, configuring, and troubleshooting server systems, networks, and related computing environments.
Duties Install, configure, and maintain servers, firewalls and managed switches
Monitor system performance and ensure availability and reliability.
Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file servers, and other core infrastructure services.
Maintain security best practices, including patch management, antivirus updates, firewall updates, Server updates
Work with software vendors to resolve issues
Perform disaster recovery following company IRP processes
Provide Tier 2 support for end-users and help desk personnel.
Provide assistance to Tier 1 technicians
Work with company specialist to restore missing or corrupt data
Automate tasks and improve efficiency using scripting languages (e.g., Power Shell)
Maintain system documentation at all times
Follow change management processes.
Evaluate and recommend system upgrades and new technologies.
Administer to O365 including setting up Teams VOIP and Share Point
Collaborate with other IT staff and departments to support organizational goals and project needs.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field — or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in system administration or a similar IT role.
Strong knowledge of Windows Server Environments
Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper‑V).
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud.
Working knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, and security principles.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
Preferred:
Industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server).
CompTIA N+ and S+
Familiarity with Huntress, Trend Micro, Sentinel One
