Step into a leadership role as an Expert Technical Underwriter at Brown & Brown Canada. Enhance underwriting quality and provide insights that drive profitability in a collaborative environment.
In this senior position, you will work closely with the Chief Underwriting Officer and VP of Underwriting to develop effective strategies and training programs. You will also be responsible for mentoring peers, reviewing underwriting decisions, and maintaining strong relationships with brokers to facilitate business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Mentor and support underwriting teammates
• Review and approve underwriting referrals
• Analyze trends to provide strategic recommendations
• Develop guidelines and best practice procedures
• Conduct technical training for teams and partners
Requirements:
• Over 10 years in the commercial insurance field
• Level 1 General Insurance license preferred
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Ability to influence change positively
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
