AWC Water Solutions is seeking an experienced Materials Planner to optimize procurement and inventory strategies. This crucial role focuses on BOM management and collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
The Materials Planner will report directly to the Supply Chain Manager s position requires a solid background in materials planning and procurement in a manufacturing setting. You will translate project BOMs into material requirements, ensuring timely availability of materials by aligning closely with Engineering, Procurement, and Operations throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with Engineering to define material requirements from BOMs
Support procurement activities by managing purchase requisitions
Monitor purchase orders and resolve discrepancies effectively
Develop and maintain a centralized parts master database
Implement inventory management strategies to meet project needs
Requirements
Post‑secondary education in Supply Chain or related field
Minimum experience in materials planning or procurement
Understanding of BOM structures and inventory principles
Proficiency in Quick Books and Microsoft Excel
Familiarity with ERP systems like Epicor or Microsoft Dynamics
