Provide dynamic leadership and mentorship to a team of 4–5 direct reports (including scheduling and purchasing staff).
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, setting clear SMART goals and driving performance.
Conduct performance evaluations and professional development planning.
Production Management & Process Optimization
Oversee master production schedules, inventory levels, manpower requirements, and shifting assignments.
Manage ERP/MRP inputs to ensure accurate scheduling and priority setting for the production floor.
Maintain seamless information flow between operations, sales, and customers regarding lead times and delivery dates.
Troubleshoot production constraints and lead projects related to process improvements and system implementation.
Purchasing & Supply Chain Logistics
Direct all purchasing functions: vendor sourcing, selection, negotiation, and evaluation.
Analyze supplier performance to ensure quality and delivery compliance.
Optimize inventory by analyzing trends and reducing excess on-hand materials.
Develop material cost forecasts and maintain physical supply chain process documentation.
What you must have:
Experience:
10+ years of experience in a manufacturing supply chain environment.
Technical Proficiency:
Proven experience with ERP systems is essential (Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics preferred).
High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and Power BI is highly advantageous.
Education:
Certified Production Inventory Management (CPIM) Designation preferred.
Canadian purchasing or supply chain certification (SCMA or APICS) highly valued.
Leadership:
Demonstrated success in managing changing priorities, leading diverse teams, and making sound, data-driven decisions.
Communication:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly across all levels of the organization.
Skills:
Strong analytical mindset, acute attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, 17-hour-per-day operational environment.
Salary/Rate Range: $95,000 – $120,000 + 8% bonus
