Facility and Arena Maintenance Worker

We are looking for enthusiastic candidates to fill up to ten Auxiliary positions in the Facilities Division. This role involves operating ice-making machinery and conducting routine inspections to uphold facility standards. Your contribution will ensure that the recreational spaces continue to serve the community effectively and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain ice-making machinery

• Perform daily equipment inspections and record appropriate readings

• Ensure compliance with municipal ice quality standards

• Assist with facility maintenance and repairs

• Engage with facility users and respond to inquiries

Requirements:

• Completion of Grade 12 and relevant technical training

• Strong knowledge of ice and facility maintenance methods

• Ability to communicate effectively with users

• Skills in custodial services and minor repairs

• Must possess a valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License
