Metal Fabricator​/Welder

Black Box Manufacturing Inc. is a premier prefabricated metal enclosure manufacturer based in Langley, BC.

Our team produces world‑class prefabricated electrical enclosures serving industries such as mining, oil and gas, utilities, and heavy industry.

We are currently seeking a Metal Fabricator / Welder to join our production team. This role is responsible for fabricating, fitting, assembling, and welding metal components used in custom industrial enclosure projects.

• Read, interpret, and understand fabrication drawings, welding symbols, layouts, and revisions.
• Fabricate, fit, and weld components, assemblies, and sub‑assemblies according to project requirements.
• Perform MIG welding and related fabrication activities on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum materials.
• Operate welding equipment, grinders, saws, plasma cutters, and other fabrication tools.
• Measure, layout, cut, and fit materials using approved fabrication methods.
• Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Follow company quality procedures and inspection requirements.
• Identify opportunities to reduce rework, scrap, and improve production efficiency.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

• Minimum 1-3 years of welding and fabrication experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Apprentices and candidates with welding and fabrication experience are encouraged to apply.
• CWB certification, welding ticket, or trade certification considered an asset.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and welding symbols.
• Demonstrated MIG welding experience.
• Experience working with fabrication equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
• Solid measuring, layout, and fabrication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Reliable, punctual, and safety focused.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Four 10‑hour shifts, Monday to Thursday, with overtime opportunities available based on production requirements.

Pay: $26.00-$29.00 per hour.
