Who Are You?
Reporting to the Senior Procurement Specialist, you will facilitate procurement operations, providing purchased goods that meet cost, quality and schedule objectives for both the branch and customers.
What You Will Do
Review, inspect and approve new vendors
Network, foster and establish working, accountable relationships with vendors
Negotiate, monitor and manage vendor performance to ensure the best value of quality, cost and schedule
Continuously explore new vendor relationships to benefit the company
Provide management with corporate purchasing opportunities
Promote workplace safety and create a safe and secure work environment to protect all workers
Comply with all safety regulations, policies and procedures
Other duties as required
Qualifications
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar capacity
Purchasing/Production experience is an asset
Knowledge of shipping/receiving processes for manufacturing is an asset
Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively and cooperatively with others
Time management, organizational and problem‑solving skills
Excellent safety record

Pre‑Employment Requirements
Due to safety considerations and the physically demanding nature of the role, successful candidates will undergo a pre‑employment medical evaluation upon hiring and must pass the Level 1 fitness test on the first attempt.
