Operate oxyfuel and plasma cutting tables in Langley, BC, using accurate settings, inspections, and safe production practices. Work full time in machine shop operations.
Weldco-Beales Manufacturing seeks a Burn Table Operator reporting to the Lead Hand, Shop Foreman, and General Foreman. This position supports heavy equipment attachment production for construction, forestry, mining, scrap recycling, and resource industries. Apply experience with burn tables, overhead cranes, metal fabrication, blueprints, and burn sheets.
Key Responsibilities:- Align steel plate accurately on cutting tables
- Select programs and adjust kerf, speed, and stand-off settings
- Monitor burn quality and correct cutting issues
- Inspect parts and re-burn defective pieces
- Maintain burn sheets, logs, and consumable records
- Three years operating oxyfuel or plasma burn tables
- Three years of overhead crane experience
- Experience in a metal fabrication shop
- Ability to read blueprints and burn sheets
- Advanced knowledge of general safety practices
