About the Role The Foundation Coordinator will support the planning, coordination, and execution of the Foundation’s programs, community initiatives, events, partnerships, and communications. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, proactive, and energized by the opportunity to help build structure within a growing organization while championing new initiatives. The Foundation Coordinator should be comfortable navigating ambiguity, collaborating with diverse teams, and turning early-stage ideas into well-organized, actionable plans.
Reporting to the Foundation Manager and working closely with the Head of Finance and the Directors of the Foundation, The Foundation Coordinator will help move initiatives from idea to execution, ensuring programs are well-planned, partners and stakeholders are engaged, and key details are documented and tracked.
Program Design and Coordination Support the planning and development of foundation programs, workshops, grants, events, and community initiatives.
Help translate program ideas into clear timelines, tasks, deliverables, and implementation plans.
Coordinate program logistics from planning through execution.
Track program progress, deadlines, and next steps.
Support workshop and event planning, including scheduling, logistics, work-back- plans, and day-of coordination.
Community Engagement Support community-facing initiatives and ensure programs are welcoming, organized, and mission-aligned.
Support outreach to community partners, organizations, volunteers, and stakeholders.
Assist with participant outreach, registration, and follow-up.
Help gather feedback from community members, participants, and partners.
Strategic and Administrative Support Support strategic planning by helping organize priorities, timelines, and next steps.
Attend foundation meetings and provide updates on assigned initiatives.
Support website updates and basic website maintenance as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
Experience:
nonprofit management, community engagement, or a related area
Education:
Bachelor’s degree
Languages:
Fluent in French and English
A strong project manager
A self-starter who can work independently
Comfortable with ambiguity and changing priorities
Mission-aligned and values-driven
Familiarity with Wix, Canva, Air table, and Slack is an asset
