Become a pivotal member of Langley Hospice Society as a Community Outreach/Program Support Worker. This full-time role focuses on enhancing community engagement and providing essential palliative support.
You will work closely with the Program Management team to deliver both one-on-one and group sessions for bereavement support. Facilitating workshops and maintaining networks with community organizations are key functions, ensuring clients are well-supported in their time of need.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop accessible outreach programs for the community
• Coordinate training and workshops for volunteers and staff
• Manage communication with clients and volunteers
• Provide bereavement support and information to clients
• Ensure accurate reporting of community outreach activities
Requirements:
• Degree or relevant experience in health or social services
• Understanding of community-centered palliative care
• Proven volunteer management experience
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and vehicle access
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
