Licensed Practical Nurse Lodge

Langley Lodge is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide essential care to residents. This temporary position emphasizes collaboration, education, and advocacy, making a meaningful impact in the community.

As you provide nursing care, you will coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the safety and well-being of residents. Your responsibilities will include assessing needs, developing care plans, and fostering a therapeutic environment. Engage with residents and families, offering education and support, while advocating for their rights and preferences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and document residents’ physical and psychological needs

• Advocate for care preferences and resident rights

• Manage medication administration and nursing procedures

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives

• Conduct safety assessments and maintain incident reports

Requirements:

• Current registration with BCCNM required

• First Aid Certification necessary

• Previous long-term care experience preferred

• Strong communication and critical thinking skills

• Must be prepared for a demanding physical environment
