Join Fraser Health in Langley, B.C. as a full-time Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse in the Inpatient Psychiatry Unit. Utilize your nursing expertise to provide person-centered psychiatric care and lead recovery-oriented practices.
This position offers an opportunity to work collaboratively with an interprofessional care team. You will assess, plan, and evaluate nursing care while actively participating in therapeutic programs. As a clinical leader, your role will involve crisis intervention, patient education, and advocating for patient rights.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients
• Support total therapeutic program of the Unit
• Communicate and consult with healthcare team members
• Act as an advocate for patients' rights
• Participate in quality improvement activities and research
Requirements:
• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing
• Current registration as an RN/RPN with BCCNM
• Completion of substance use certificate may be required
• Knowledge of mental health treatment practices
• Effective communication skills with diverse populations
