You will be responsible for delivering psychiatric nursing care, ensuring respectful and effective communication with patients and their families. As part of the healthcare team, you will conduct assessments, provide education, and champion patient rights while participating in continual learning and improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and evaluate individual patient care
• Maintain documentation and reporting standards
• Collaborate in therapeutic program support
• Mentor nursing staff and students as needed
• Implement safety practices in patient care
Requirements:
• Graduation from an approved nursing program
• Registration as RN/RPN with BCCNM
• Skills in mental health assessment and crisis intervention
• Understanding of mental health policies and treatments
• Effective communication across diverse patient groups
Contribute to the well-being of individuals in your care at Fraser Health’s Inpatient Psychiatry Unit.
