This position is crucial to the Maternal
- Infant
- Child & Youth team, with responsibilities covering comprehensive patient assessments and interventions in a high-paced environment. The ideal candidate will bring their clinical expertise, collaborative skills, and emotional intelligence to foster trust and dignity among patients. This role is expected to last until at least October 2027, providing stability and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments on admission
• Collaborate with families and the inter-professional care team
• Coordinate effective nursing care and referrals
• Teach health promotion to patients and families
• Document assessments and nursing interventions accurately
Requirements:
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program
• Valid registration with BCCNM
• One year of clinical perinatal nursing experience
• Current Basic Rescuer and Neonatal Resuscitation Certifications
• Ability to work independently and with a team
