Client Services Representative – Animal Emergency Clinic of Fraser Valley

$19–23/hr based on experience

Full-time opportunity in Langley, British Columbia

Schedule:

Client Services operates 7 days a week; seeking someone with flexible availability. Anticipated schedule may include 8–10 hour shifts across days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Join the Animal Emergency Clinic of Fraser Valley (AECFV) as a Client Services Representative, where you'll be the first point of contact for clients and their pets arriving for emergency and critical care. This client-facing role balances reception, communication, and clerical responsibilities in a fast-paced, 24/7 hospital, supporting both our clients and our nursing team. In your day-to-day, you will:

  • Provide in-person and telephone reception, including discussing fees, answering questions regarding services and care, and assessing for patient triage recommendations to the nursing team
  • Maintain client information and medical records in an accurate and organized manner
  • Manage client financial accounts, including cash handling and daily payment reconciliation
  • Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams
  • Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture

What You Bring

  • An understanding of the importance of client care excellence
  • Preferred prior experience in customer service or a veterinary setting
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate information clearly to clients and team members
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced and stressful environment, staying calm and focused
  • Close attention to detail, effectively managing and prioritizing tasks to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, handling difficult situations with tact and diplomacy
  • A compassionate and caring attitude toward pets and their owners, ensuring a positive experience for all clients
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care
