Become a vital part of Universal Group’s Health and Safety team as an Occupational Health and Safety Advisor focused on ensuring personnel safety at work sites. If you have a passion for safety and compliance, this role is for you.
As a certified Occupational Health and Safety professional reporting to the Regional Manager-OHS, you play a key role in supporting traffic control personnel. You will coach field staff, conduct safety inspections, and manage compliance with transport guidelines. Your work includes enhancing employee safety competence, conflict resolution, and conducting critical investigations when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support field staff in safe operations
• Conduct safety inspections and investigations
• Administer first aid and TCP duties
• Facilitate training and correct unsafe practices
• Liaise with clients for safety compliance
Requirements:
• Certified Traffic Control Person (TCP) required
• Class 5 Driver's License needed
• Experience with BC's Workers Comp Act
• Level 2 First Aid certification or willingness
• Familiarity with Health and Safety software
