Support Worker Youth

Position: Dynamic Support Worker for Youth
Encompass Support Services Society is seeking a compassionate Child and Youth Support Worker based in Langley. This role supports at-risk youth, ensuring safety and emotional well-being in a specialized home environment.

Your job will focus on providing trauma-informed care and facilitating essential life skills for youths aged 12 to 19 in need of stabilization. You’ll engage in supportive interactions while ensuring a secure and clean living space. Applicants should be adaptable and have a strong understanding of the effects of trauma on youth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create a safe and inclusive environment for participants

• Support youth through trauma-informed conversations

• Help develop essential life skills in daily activities

• Conduct regular safety checks within the home

• Complete incident reports and maintain accurate logs

Requirements:

• Certificate in a relevant human/social service field

• 2+ years of applicable experience

• Current First Aid and Food Safety certifications

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

• Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s license and appropriate insurance
