Community Worker In Ee Istchee

We are seeking a dedicated Community Worker to engage with local populations and implement various community action programs.

This role requires a diploma in social work techniques or a related field, with a solid understanding of mental health issues and social dynamics in the Cree territory. You will act as a resource for community groups and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

• Identify community needs and implement support programs
• Communicate effectively with individuals and groups
• Collaborate with medical social services and community workers
• Provide crisis counseling and maintain helping relationships
• Promote knowledge of Cree culture and communal healing practices

• Diploma in social work techniques or relevant specialization
• Fluent in Cree and English;
  French is an asset
• Knowledge of mental health and addiction issues
• Ability to work in crisis situations
• Preferred: 1 year of relevant experience
