Location:

Cedar Grove, Langley

Hours:

Must be available for at least one shift per week, available 6 of the 13 statutory holidays throughout the year, and available for a minimum of one weekend day per month.

Salary:
The current wage starts from $25.95 per hour. Funding for wage increases, retroactive to April 2026, will adjust the starting wage to $27.53 per hour once implemented.

We are looking for a Community Living Worker to join our SOURCES Community Living Services team! This individual must be passionate about working with people, engaging, and empathic.

Description Of Position
Sources Community Living provides all-encompassing care for individuals who have been referred to us by Community Living British Columbia. We are currently recruiting community living workers to support individuals with autism, and/or intellectual disabilities, with dual diagnoses in a group home environment. Our mission is to enable the pursuit of the best quality of life possible for our clients. We do this by fostering independence, well-being, and social participation.

Reporting to:
Cedar Grove Program Manager

General Responsibilities

Build meaningful relationships.

Coach life skills.

Document and report activities.

Liaise with various stakeholders.

Adhere to policies, procedures, collective agreement provisions, and other mandatory regulations.

Program-specific Responsibilities

Keep notes and review progress.

Maintain a safe work environment for both staff and service users alike.

Implement person centered support plans and positive behavior support strategies. This includes being confident and familiar with Non-Violent Crisis Intervention material.

Support individuals in achieving a meaningful, fulfilling, and high quality of life.

Provide medication and personal care as needed.

Assist with meal preparation and diet planning.

Other tasks as necessary for service delivery.

Qualifications

Knowledge and/or experience with mental health issues and intellectual disabilities.

Physically able to engage in various support and community-based activities.

Empathy and good emotional intelligence.

Work with initiative and integrity.

Valid driver's license (Class 4 and/or Class 5 but willing to obtain Class 4 within 3 months of hire)

Clear criminal record check
