Registered Social Worker Care

Be a vital part of the Langley Care Society as a Registered Social Worker. Provide person-centered social work services for residents and their families in this temporary role.

As an interdisciplinary team member, you will report to the Director of Care while focusing on psychosocial assessments and coordinating resources for residents. Key responsibilities include collaborating with care teams, enhancing quality of care, and providing therapeutic counseling.

Your role also encompasses maintaining detailed case records and educating families about their rights and community resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct social work assessments and coordinate resources

• Facilitate Resident Care Conferences with families

• Maintain detailed notes in resident health records

• Provide crisis interventions for residents in distress

• Advocate for resident needs with external agencies

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work

• Minimum two years clinical experience in Long Term Care

• Valid registration with BC Social Workers Board

• Proficient in MS Office and health records systems

• Knowledge of elder care legislation and practices
