Shipper and Receiver

Position: Shipper and Receiver (Contract )
Peterbilt Pacific is currently seeking a Shipper and Receiver for a temporary contract to cover a leave of absence.
Shipper and Receiver ships, receives and records the movement of parts, supplies, materials, equipment and stock to and from an establishment.
Responsibilities   Loading and unloading goods from carriers and vendors.
Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and damaged goods.
Report shortages and damages to Parts Manager immediately.
Pull and package orders to ship out in assigned shipping methods.
Unpack, code and route goods to appropriate storage areas.
Assemble containers and crates, record contents manually or in computer system, pack goods to be shipped and affix identifying information and shipping instructions.
Maintain internal, manual or computerized record-keeping systems.
Operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods.
Verify all packing slips with parts pulled to ensure product and quantities being shipped are correct.
Pick‑up and deliver parts as required.
Assemble, check and ship returns.
Other duties and projects, as assigned.
Qualifications   2+ years warehouse experience.
Valid driver's license with a clean abstract required.
Forklift certification is an asset.
Experience strapping loads for secure transport.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Robust personal organizational skills as they relate to workload, time management, and setting priorities.
Effective problem solving and negotiating skills.
Effective conflict resolution skills.
Compensation  Rate $20.27 – $24.77 per hour. Pay rate will be determined based on previous experience, relevant certifications and skill level.
