Assistant Warehouse Manager
Location
Langley, BC V3A 4K6, Canada
Job Type
Full-time, Permanent, on site.
Shift: Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend.
Hours:
35 per week. Pay: $37.00 per hour.
Responsibilities
Direct and control the operations of commercial warehouse facilities.
Identify customers’ needs and ensure service satisfaction.
Oversee the preparation of reports and statistics related to areas of responsibility.
Develop and implement schedules and procedures for safety inspections and preventive maintenance programs.
Hire, train, supervise, and oversee staff and subordinates.
Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of real estate infrastructures, including machinery, equipment, electrical and mechanical systems.
Plan, organize, and direct administrative services such as signage, cleaning, maintenance, parking, safety inspections, security, and snow removal.
Train customers’ staff in the operation and maintenance of equipment.
Resolve product and service related problems.
Troubleshoot equipment problems.
Organize and maintain inventory.
Supervise a team of 3–4 people.
Qualifications
Education:
College, CEGEP or other non‑university certificate or diploma from a program of 1–2 years.
Experience:
2 to less than 3 years in a warehouse management or related supervisory role.
Knowledge of safety inspections, preventive maintenance, and equipment troubleshooting.
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Personal Suitability
Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
Adaptable to a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment.
Work Conditions
Fast‑paced and high‑pressure environment.
Handling heavy loads; physically demanding tasks.
Hand‑eye coordination required.
Large workload and repetitive tasks.
Standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
