Subject-Matter Expert – Zero Trust

E-Logic is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Subject-Matter Expert - Zero Trust to support the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) on a contract basis. The successful candidate will play a critical role as the senior technical authority, overseeing the IRS's Zero Trust architecture and implementation, and ensuring the IRS's digital infrastructure is hardened, policy-driven, and fully optimized for mission delivery.

• Serve as the principal advisor for the development, implementation, and evolution of the Zero Trust (ZT) security model across the IRS enterprise, aligning with NIST SP 800-207 and CISA guidelines.
• Design and document a comprehensive Zero Trust architecture roadmap, focusing on key pillars such as Identity, Devices, Network, Applications, and Data.
• Drive the integration and deployment of ZT-enabling technologies, including Identity and Access Management (IAM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Micro-segmentation solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to enforce "never trust, always verify" principles for all access requests, regardless of network location.
• Conduct security gap assessments against ZT principles and develop remediation strategies.
• Present complex technical findings, strategies, and progress reports to IRS leadership and key stakeholders.

• Bachelor of Science or Engineering in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum ten years of IT and/or cybersecurity related experience.
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
