Security Specialist

E‑Logic is seeking a highly detailed and skilled Security Specialist to support Internal Revenue Services (IRS). The successful candidate will play a critical role in protecting sensitive IRS data by implementing, configuring, and monitoring advanced security controls and compliance settings across the M365 platform to meet federal and organizational security standards.

• Lead security administration, compliance governance, and identity protection across the M365 environment.
• Implement, configure, and optimize security controls across Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Intune, Azure AD, and Power Platform.
• Monitor and enforce enterprise policies for Data Loss Prevention (DLP), data retention, classification, and conditional access.
• Design and implement Purview‑based data protection and data lifecycle strategies.
• Oversee AvePoint Online Services for tenant governance, activity auditing, and compliance enforcement.
• Support incident response activities, analyze logs, and recommend remediation steps.
• Document and manage Security Change Requests and support continuous monitoring and compliance assessments (e.g., NIST 800‑53, FISMA).

• Strong understanding of M365 security, compliance, governance, and privacy features.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure AD, Intune, Exchange Online security, and identity protection tools.
• Familiarity with federal cybersecurity standards and frameworks.
• Experience managing user permissions, data retention, and compliance settings.

This role is part of a proposal for the Internal Revenue Services (IRS). Hiring is contingent upon the selection of the consultant. Selected candidates will be included in the proposal and must authorize the use of their resume for submission.
