Job Summary:

Provide and supervise assigned personnel in personal asset protection for patients, visitors and employees throughout the Medical Center facility, preventing hazardous conditions through continuous monitoring of all areas.

• Orients, trains, schedules, monitors, and provides direction to staff.
• Hires, evaluates performance, issues disciplinary actions, and recommends discharge in collaboration with HR.
• Supervises all Officers, conducts performance evaluations, coaching, training, disciplinary action, and retention.
• Manages daily productivity through department goals.
• Conducts regular rounding throughout the facility, especially the ER and campus buildings.
• Responds to safety and security incidents and emergency situations using nonviolent crisis intervention and de‑escalation techniques.
• Prepares department daily schedule and payroll with assistance from other supervisors.
• Manages the fire drill program, training, and compliance.
• Ensures maintenance and tracking of department equipment and supplies.
• Investigates and follows up on incident reports.
• Collaborates with law enforcement for investigations.
• Develops department goals, objectives, policies, and ensures compliance with hospital policies and regulations.
• Adheres to Luminis Health RISE values.
• Attends staff meetings, completes mandatory in‑services and competency evaluations on time.
• Proactively addresses compliance issues and reports through appropriate channels.
• Maintains current knowledge in area of responsibility.
• Provides exceptional customer service to physicians, patients and staff.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required;
  Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
• Valid Class D Maryland driver’s license required with no more than two points on current driving record.
• Supervisor must be willing to work various shifts and travel to different facilities within the Health System.
• Four years of hospital‑related security experience;
  Two years at a supervisory level.
• Professional security experience may be substituted on a year‑for‑year basis for up to two years of education.
• Must obtain Maryland Guard Card and maintain good standing with Maryland State Police.
• Preferred: BLS/CPR Certification within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred: IAHSS Basic & Advanced Officer Certification required within six months or promotion.

$26.13 – $39.19 USD per hour
