Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Pay: $73,923.20 - $79,227.20 Annually
The Transportation Director, under the supervision of the Executive Director, is responsible for the transportation program, including transport of residents/participants, meals, durable medical equipment, pharmacy, and any other transportation as deemed necessary. Responsibilities include hiring, training and supervising all drivers and dispatchers, overseeing vehicle repairs and maintenance, and meeting departmental budget goals.
ResponsibilitiesSupervises the transportation departmental staff. Responsible for departmental hiring, orientation, competency, and training procedures.
Functions as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT). Maintains regular attendance at, and participates in Interdisciplinary Team meetings; collaborates on plan of care decisions and coordination for twenty-four (24) hour care delivery.
Communicates Interdisciplinary Team decisions, participant changes, plan of care changes, and updated information to transportation staff on a daily basis.
Ensures responsibility for running and maintaining transportation scheduling software program.
Ensures effective daily communication, via radio calls or otherwise, between PACE Center, transportation drivers, dispatch, and Transportation Coordinator.
Ensures the scheduling, coordination, communication of the driver route assignments of the Senior Community Care Program.
Ensures scheduling of transportation for all participants outside appointments.
Required Qualifications- Two (2) years of administrative/supervisory experience in a transportation setting
- Five (5) years of experience in the transportation industry
- One (1) year experience in working with the frail or elderly population
- High school diploma required
- Valid Driver’s License in the state of hire
- Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and means of transportation
- Medical clearance for communicable diseases and up-to-date immunizations before having direct participant contact
- College degree preferred
