Opportunity

As the OFCI Procurement Lead you will represent the owner’s interests on all owner-furnished, contractor-installed equipment and systems. You will serve as the strategic liaison between client, design, construction, and vendor teams, owning early procurement, risk mitigation, and delivery alignment for long-lead, mission-critical OFCI packages.

In This Role You Will
  • Act as the primary owner-side point of contact for all OFCI procurement activities, partnering with client procurement, design, cost, and construction teams.
  • Lead prequalification, vetting, and shortlisting of OFCI vendors across electrical, mechanical, controls, IT, and commissioning-related systems.
  • Develop and manage OFCI procurement strategies, including early-buy recommendations for long-lead equipment to protect schedule and cost certainty.
  • Lead commercial and contractual negotiations for OFCI packages, driving pricing, payment milestones, lead times, warranties, and risk allocation.
  • Manage contract development, execution, and administration for OFCI vendors with strict attention to scope definition, interfaces, and order of precedence.
  • Partner with the client to define and implement pre-order guidelines for OFCI materials and service packages aligned with design maturity and construction sequencing.
  • Coordinate closely with design teams, GCs, and commissioning agents to ensure OFCI scopes are fully integrated with IFC drawings, specifications, and installation responsibilities.
  • Oversee vendor onboarding, logistics planning, delivery tracking, and site interface coordination for contractor-installed OFCI equipment.
  • Lead and facilitate OFCI coordination meetings, providing clear reporting on cost, lead times, risk, submittals, and delivery status through dashboards and trackers.
  • Identify and manage procurement-related risks, proactively driving mitigation plans.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve OFCI supply chain strategies across regional and global programs.
  • Maintain procurement reporting dashboards and track cost performance against budgets.
  • Apply market expertise to drive innovation and best practices in OFCI sourcing, contracting, and vendor management.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, guiding on OFCI procurement processes and owner-side best practices.
We Would Love To Hear From You If You
  • Have grown your procurement experience over the last 10 years with increasing levels of leadership.
  • Have proven experience managing OFCI packages (generators, transformers, UPS systems, switchgears, chillers, UPS CRAH, PDU, STS, busways, and fanwalls).
  • Have experience in a construction environment within the mission critical, data center, pharmaceutical/medical device sectors or from an EPC background in the oil and gas sector.
  • Hold a degree in procurement or supply chain management related discipline.
  • Have a CIPS certification or be on the path to complete it; we can help.
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills and a commercial mindset to build balanced solutions and recommendations.
  • Thrive on building positive relationships with your team and clients through a shared purpose and sense of openness.
  • Are an excellent communicator both verbally and in writing.
