Overnight Veterinary Technician

Overnight Veterinary Technician - Monday–Wednesday 7:00 PM–7:00 AM

North Penn Animal Hospital (NPAH) is seeking a compassionate and dependable Overnight Veterinary Technician to provide attentive care to hospitalized and post‑surgical patients. This role is responsible for overnight patient monitoring and nursing care, working independently while following established medical protocols.

Monday–Wednesday, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

• Provide overnight care for hospitalized and post‑operative patients
• Monitor patient comfort, recovery, and changes in condition
• Administer medications, treatments, fluids, and nutrition as prescribed
• Maintain accurate medical records and overnight notes
• Clean, maintain, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
• Ensure patient comfort, cleanliness, and safety throughout the night
• Maintain cleanliness of treatment, recovery, and patient wards
• Follow hospital safety, emergency, and overnight protocols

• Veterinary Technician experience required (licensed/certified preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and observation skills
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
• Compassionate, calm, and reliable overnight caregiver

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and handling animals
• Safe handling and restraint of patients as needed
