Administrative Assistant

Position Summary

Seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to support operations at Gowan Seed in Zeeland, MI, during our busy season.

• Full‑Time / Temporary (Seasonal December–May)
• Hourly

  Distribution Manager

• Answer incoming calls and provide friendly, professional customer service for orders and inquiries.
• Sort and distribute incoming mail; prepare outgoing mail and catalogs using the mail machine; record check payments in a spreadsheet.
• Communicate with Sales Coordinators regarding waivers, payments, and incoming seed; print and mail documents provided by Sales Coordinators.
• Enter and manage house orders in JD Edwards Enterprise.
  
  One; process orders from entry to preparation for invoicing.
• Monitor and report office supply needs; conduct periodic cleaning of the office, kitchen, and bathrooms.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the team.

• High School

• 1–2 years of experience in administrative support or related role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
