This position will function as a professional building construction project superintendent. This position is responsible for inspecting all of DMVA “Michigan Minus” construction projects for compliance with contract requirements in the lower peninsula of the State of Michigan, or as assigned, under CFMO control. This involves investigating and resolving construction issues, recommending remedies and developing contractual change documentation, overseeing project meetings, coordinating design and construction contracts for assigned projects while providing input to the design development team to ensure development of the project quality assurance program for individual projects assigned.
This position involves a fair mixture of office and field time requiring significant driving throughout the State of Michigan to attend meetings and inspections of multiple project sites on a routine basis. Inspections will require indoor and outdoor observations.

Education- Possession of a bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or building construction.
- Three years of professional experience overseeing the construction, remodeling and/or maintenance of buildings and facilities, including one year equivalent to a Building Construction Project Superintendent P11.
- For all levels, four years of experience as a superintendent or foreman in the building construction trades, or experience of equivalent responsibility in building construction inspection, planning or design may be substituted for the education requirement.
