Position Title: Field Estimator and Sales Representative

Location: Lansing, MI

About the Job: We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our recently-opened Mid Michigan Branch. Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Estimator will be responsible for sourcing, estimating, and project-managing jobs at multifamily and mobile home accounts. Projects will include one or more of Premiere’s services such as construction, paint, drywall, and flooring installation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, knowledgeable, and can work collaboratively with various teams.

Premiere Property Services is a one-stop-shop property improvements business focused on make-ready/turns, repairs and maintenance, and capital projects, primarily for multifamily and mobile home communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with mobile home community customers; source mobile home refurbishments and other capital projects.
  • Work alongside Premiere Account Representatives to source capital projects from multifamily customers.
  • Formulate accurate estimates for customers using Salesforce.
  • Consult with customers, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction foremen to discuss and adjust estimates and resolve issues.
  • Order materials and create project schedules.
  • Walk projects to ensure quality control.
  • Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.
  • Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects, or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
  • Maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Establish and maintain tendering processes and conduct negotiations.
  • Manage projects from start to finish.
  • Ensure clear and strong written and oral communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of construction processes.
  • Experience using Salesforce for estimating and project management preferred.
  • Experience with mobile home and multifamily communities preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to walk projects and assess repair/replacement needs.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
