We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Locum Interventional Radiologist to provide exceptional hospital-based IR services at a Level I Trauma Center in Lansing, MI. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to work with a reputable team of professionals in a stimulating environment, delivering vital procedures and ensuring optimal patient outcomes. If you are a Board-Certified MD with a passion for interventional radiology and enjoy a structured, daytime schedule, this position is ideal for you.
Your expertise will support a robust team including three physicians and two advanced practice providers, delivering approximately 8 procedures daily. You'll be responsible for performing a variety of interventions such as angioplasty, stent placement, embolization, needle biopsies, thrombolysis, and UFE. Additional procedures involving orthopedics, gynecology, and urology are also preferred. The call schedule is manageable, with Q3 call coverage rotating every third weekday and weekend, ensuring a balanced work-life dynamic.
Required Skills:
- Board Certification in Radiology (MD)
- Proven experience in interventional procedures such as angioplasty, embolization, and biopsies
- Strong knowledge of emergent and routine IR techniques
- Ability to work efficiently independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Experience with UFE, orthopedic, gynecologic, and urologic interventions
- Previous experience in a hospital-based IR setting
- Familiarity with hospital EMR systems
- Ability to perform procedures in a high-volume trauma setting
- Medical Degree (MD) from an accredited institution
- Board Certification in Radiology, with subspecialty training or experience in Interventional Radiology
- Minimum of 2 years of post-residency IR practice preferred
- Previous experience in Level I trauma centers is advantageous
- Active medical license in Michigan or eligibility to obtain one
- Credentialing can be completed within approximately 90 days, with fast-tracking available upon request
- Travel and mileage reimbursement in accordance with IRS standards
- Availability for scheduled shifts Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., with Q3 call rotation
