The Lansing School District serves over 10,000 PreK-12 students across 25 school buildings in the diverse urban community of Lansing, MI. We are hiring elementary teachers. This role ensures students receive world-class instruction in a safe and welcoming environment. Teachers build inclusive, nurturing classrooms where students can be themselves and collaborate toward common learning goals. They work with other teachers, parents, and students to provide the best educational experience for all students.

• Bachelor s degree in education
• Previous experience working with elementary students
• Alignment with Lansing School District s mission and values

• Valid Michigan teaching certificate with an elementary endorsement (i.e. ZC, ZG, ZO, ZP)
• Previous teaching experience in an urban setting
• Training in CRPBIS, LETRS, Go Math, UFLi, and other related instructional methodologies

• Demonstrate passion for and expertise of elementary content
• Provide world-class instruction in math, literacy, social studies, and science to elementary students
• Use data to guide and effectively differentiate instruction
• Learn and grow by incorporating feedback from school leaders, colleagues, students, and professional development sessions
• Build relationships with students and parents to ensure a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environment
• Other duties as assigned to best support the Lansing School District mission
