Teach courses in Psychology (both face-to-face and online), consistent with current developments in the discipline and teaching methods. Participate in program/department meetings and divisional/college-wide committees with a focus on continual improvement of programs and learning outcomes. Participate in curriculum and course development, course and program coordination, tutoring and advising students, mentoring and reviewing peers, and College initiatives. Must demonstrate a commitment to the diversity of a multi-cultural population, as well as work effectively in a team-based environment, seeking continuous improvement and adherence to the community college philosophy.

Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.

Final candidates will be subject to a criminal background check as part of the employment process.

Master’s degree or higher in Psychology from an accredited college or university; or, Master’s degree or higher (from an accredited college or university) with a minimum of 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) of graduate-level coursework in the discipline.

Previous college teaching experience in Psychology.

PhD in Psychology from an accredited college or university; or, PhD degree (from an accredited college or university) and a minimum of 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) of graduate-level coursework in the discipline.

Experience teaching Psychology at a community college.

At least three semesters of college teaching experience.
