An on-campus presence is required. The Radiography program is mostly comprised of traditional in-person classes. Online course assignments are very limited.
Responsibilities- Teach courses in didactic and lab formats at all levels of Radiography training, primarily on LCC’s downtown Lansing campus with possible partnering locations or online assignments.
- Collaborate with senior department faculty, department coordinators, and the Program Director to develop course content consistent with official syllabi and accreditation standards.
- Plan and prepare course materials, deliver instruction, assess and grade students, and assist them outside of class.
- Participate in course assessment, department/program meetings, advisory board meetings, professional development activities, and other duties as needed.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the diversity of a multicultural population and work effectively in a team-based environment.
- Adjunct instructors shall not exceed twelve (12) workload hours of teaching during Fall Semester and twelve (12) during Spring Semester, including all associated preparation, assessment, evaluation, and student consultation/office hours.
- Adjunct instructors shall not exceed ten (10) workload hours of teaching during Summer Semester, including all associated preparation, assessment, evaluation, and student consultation/office hours.
- Increases in workload will not change the part‑time status of bargaining unit members.
Part-time Teaching Faculty may be given non‑teaching assignments such as course development, curriculum development, student advising, or leadership assignments, provided their workload does not regularly exceed the nominal equivalent of thirty (30) clock hours per week or 1,560 clock hours in an academic year.
General Adjunct Instructor Requirements- Primary duty and responsibility of teaching students in instructional settings.
- Act as the principal source of instruction and the faculty of record for a course, class, workshop, etc., offered for academic credit, including assigning the grade.
- Responsible for curriculum planning and development; preparation and delivery of course content in accordance with student needs; comprehensive assessment and grading in the assigned course, class, or workshop offered for academic credit.
- Associate’s Degree (or higher) from a regionally accredited college or university.
- Current unencumbered American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Radiologic Technologist license or equivalent experience.
- Two years of clinical experience in the professional discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse population and as a member of a team.
- If a degree is required, unofficial copies of transcripts from each institution of higher learning where a degree has been conferred or coursework completed are required documents that must be submitted as part of the online application process.
- Foreign education credentials must have a credential evaluation from a NACES member and be submitted with the application materials.

- Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Radiography, Education, Leadership, or a related health discipline from a regionally accredited college or university.
- Teaching experience at the college or community college level.

Learn, Canvas, Blackboard, Angel, etc.). - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including email, electronic calendars, presentation software, etc.
