We are Talent Together, a consortium of 56 Intermediate School Districts (ISDs) and Regional Educational Service Associations (RESAs). We partner with colleges, universities, state agencies, and the Michigan Educator Workforce Initiative to create pathways into the teaching profession.

Who We Are

Talent Together is committed to designing and implementing programs that provide equitable access to teacher preparation. We acknowledge and respect participants’ diverse identities, cultures, and traditions, creating environments where all feel a sense of belonging and children across Michigan learn from a more diverse and well‑prepared teacher workforce.

What We Do

We innovate to overcome common barriers such as the cost of coursework and the need to earn a living wage while seeking certification. Our Registered Apprenticeship Program includes job‑embedded coursework and comprehensive on‑the‑job support, enabling candidates to join and remain in the teaching profession.

What You’ll Do

Model teachers are skilled teachers and learners. They host Teacher Candidates in their classrooms (Lab classrooms) to support Apprentice Teachers. Model teachers weave content knowledge, methodology, and pedagogy, study MDE standards, the Talent Together Teaching Framework, and Common Core State Standards, and collaborate with Educator Development Specialists. They apply adult learning principles rooted in real classroom practice and play a critical role in supporting Talent Together teachers to develop into excellent educators.
