Responsibilities- Adjunct Positions are filled by semester on an as needed basis. Applicants in this applicant pool are reviewed when the department has an immediate need to fill a vacancy. Review of applications will then stop for the semester once the vacancy has been filled.
- Teach Heavy Equipment Repair courses in a lab and classroom environment to a diverse student population.
- Communicate and demonstrate knowledge of specific technical skills with heavy mobile equipment.
- Adjust instructional techniques as required by students’ learning styles, maintain a positive learning environment, and collaborate with learners and peers to support student success.
- Basic computer skills are required. Classes may be scheduled during daytime and/or evening hours.
- Open to current AIS Instructors only.
- Regular on-campus presence is expected. Flexible or hybrid schedules, if approved, may be subject to change based on college needs.
- Final candidates may be subject to a criminal background check as part of the employment process.
- Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in an industry-related field and a minimum of two (2) years of relevant industry experience; OR
- Associate's Degree in heavy equipment repair with a minimum of five (5) years recent and relevant experience in the equipment industry; OR
- High School diploma or GED with a minimum of seven (7) years relevant industry experience
- Current AIS Instructor
